What is going on today?
Is everyone out shovelling snow?
Ben and I have mom and baby yoga this morning and then we are going to stop at the grocery store and Costco after. This afternoon I need to clean out my purse, update the budget/checkbook and file bills and sweep and mop.

That would be pointless to start now. It's snowing, but right now it's light. The heavy snow hasn't moved in yet.

no snow here yet. We are supposed to get hit tomorrow. But when it starts tomorrow we'll be out numerous times to shovel in spurts, so much easier to do a bit at a time than all at once.
Today I went to mom's group, took me a while to get moving but I made it.
Now I need to clean out the tupperware/pots and pans cupboard, make bread, make some snacks (not sure yet) and fold laundry that I didn't get to do yesterday. oh and hopefully I can unload the dishwasher and at least reload it, maybe even wash a few pots and pans.

I just Skyped with the priest and his wife in Australia! It was soooo good to see them again. I can't believe it is nearly a year since we left, partly it feels like just a few weeks ago. It is 107*F where they are, at 11pm. Yikes.
Had a choir friend come over this morning but I'll start a new thread about that. I'm flummoxed.

Nothing fun or exciting going on here. Just cleaning, organizing, laundry, and making Valentines.

time just flies Rosey! Been almost a year since the whole incident with my mother and sister. Incommunicado - other than the brief exchange from my mother of happy birthday and me replying thanks in October. You know, if she had just sent me a card (since she never does) I would have let it blow over then. A simple happy birthday by email wasn't good enough.
Anyway, the snow is picking up now. I've got a couple of turkey and cheese pasties in the oven for my lunch. When those are done, I'm going to make some mini pocket pies with the leftover dough and strawberry jam.
I've got a load in the dryer, another in the washer, working on dishes. I've got meat to separate and freeze then cookies to make (margarine sticks that need using up).

I know it's niggled at you, but have you been happier without them around causing drama though Tam?

I didn't hear/see them much anyway so it's not a huge difference as far as that goes. The whole situation still rankles though.

Tam, do you go to family stuff with them there? I think I'm going to quit talking to my fil since he hung on me the other day, and I'm sick of how he treats me. If he says something to me, I'll answer but that's it. What are pasties?

I learned about them from reading British novels. Mine aren't that big though and I have a doo-hickey that cuts the pastry circles with one side and the other side you place the circle on, fill it, and then it folds in half and presses it together.
When we've been if FL and we had a rental car we'd drive out to see them and hang out. One trip they drove out the gulf coast side with us (2 cars though). When we've stayed on Disney property, we made time to see them even though they had to drive to us. If they had the money to get tickets, they'd spend the day with us at Disney. Except the last time we were down there my sister was mad we could only spend a couple hours with her (we had the dining plan - you know how you need to book tables so we had dinner reservations) so she decided she didn't want to drive an hour just for a couple of hours. So I didn't see my mother either because they were supposed to come together. My mother didn't want to drive far with her vehicle because she was having problems with it.

As far as when they've come up here - it's pretty much a few hours hanging out at my house. They never arrange to spend a day with us doing something. They stay down in CT and spend a lot of time there/RI visiting friends and relatives and drive up here for a visit. But apparently they have plenty of time to drive back and forth to VT picking up and dropping off one of my brothers. (Last year I googled it and it's about a 3 1/2 hr drive one way.)
