..... and bored sitting at home. Will be in at least 3 weeks before going back to work. Guess I will find time for scrapping and crocheting. What are some things that helped you pass the time before you could "get back to normal"?

My laptop. I could waste all day on it, just surfing.  It will feel more comfortable soon then you can go out and get moving. That will help too.

If I wasn't going to do something crafty then I'd probably spend a lot of time reading.

Thanks! Guess I will see if a friend will take me to the bookstore tomorrow if we go out. I think I over did things yesterday and I'm feeling it today. I'm also hoping to find a few good movies to watch.

I found after surgery I could not manage scrapping....it was not good!!! Intended to read, watch movies, surf the net.....this was only because I had to have my foot up ( when I had foot surgery) and I had to sit reclined position ( after my gall bladder surgery)

Sharon, mine was gallbladder so I am reclined and miserable. I know people heal at different speeds and have had easier /harder recovery rates. I can not seem to find a comfortable position to be in. I have four incisions and they are bruised so it makes them tender to move. Hopefully in the next few days the soreness will wear off.

i was so sore after gall bladder surgery, it was all i could do to get off the couch and go to the bathroom. thankfully friends and family stepped in and helped with the kid. it took me a long time to recover.
Mom to 1 precious boy! He loves hockey.

Thanks! Luckily my kids are 16&18 so I don't have to worry about them. Some friends came over yesterday and brought food. I tried to sit still while they were here (they have two kids that were playing). When they left, I have a sink of dishes to wash and stuff to pick up along with dirty floors. Usually I would be up doing it all but ds said not to and he will clean when he comes home.
