Not me, my crop friend yesterday was telling me and I wondered whether you guys might be able to help.
I need to find out which one she's got, but basically on the little screen when she touches anything, it is the item to the left which gets selected.
This is the 3rd Cricut she has had. Provocraft replaced the other faulty machines even though they could find nothing wrong themselves, but this one they are refusing to replace unless she can provide video evidence of the problem.
She hasn't got a video camera so she's been using her digital camera on video mode. She's e-mailed the file which got rejected by Provocraft's system. They asked her to upload it to Facebook as private and send them the link. They can't view it, although other people can. She thinks they have Apple Macs although that shouldn't make a difference.
Now they want her to upload it to YouTube and she doesn't know how to.
1) Don't you think they're being awkward?
2) I have no idea how to upload to YouTube - I've never had a home movie to use. Is it easy?

I suppose if they have to keep replacing her machines they're finding her questionable.
She must have the expression 2? I think that one had the touch screen for everything.
I've never done youtube either.
Friends aren't people you particularly like for any special reason. You just like people because they're your friends.

Yes, that's what she thinks they must think. I can see both sides, but she has had such a struggle over this. If she was really in it for the dishonesty, she probably wouldn't have bothered to jump through as many hoops as she has - calls to the US are not cheap.
I found a video (well loads actually) showing how to upload to YouTube. I've linked her up to a few. I just wondered whether anyone had any personal experience.

The touch screens can be finnicky. Is she using her finger or the little pokey tool? If she's using her finger that may be the issue.... Also, PC has had lots of issue with people who have been very dishonest about the malfunction of their machines......... it's awkward but crafters can be dishonest too....

I know the touch screens can be an issue if you are relying on fingers!!! I have that issue on the iPad, and the screen is huge in comparison.

Have her try a stylus. (that pokey tool Paula was referring to.  )

Oh OK, I will. Thanks for the voice of experience - I knew I'd get something useful here. Does it actually come with a stylus or will just anything do, like a biro end? It's pressure sensitive, is it?

it should have come with a stylus. It looks just like the ones that came with the Gypsy and you are only to use the stylus with the Expression 2 screen. She can also try using an emptied out pen casing first...

They are not expensive in any case. .... In fact I saw one yesterday, that actually was a biro as well....I thought that was clever.

The stylus is "hidden" in the door of the Cricut, I didn't even know it was there for the longest time. Maybe she doesnt even know it's there.
I have an E2, I HATE the screen. I don't ever use it. My E2 is always either hooked up to my Gypsy or to the Cricut Craft Room.
I think they released the E2 way to early before they worked out all the kinks....Good Luck to your friend!

Provo craft releces everything early they all ways do. It is a given with them I wait for the second wave with them
