I won't lie, cortizone shots don't feel good. But, they help a lot of people. Make sure when your dr does it that he includes lidocaine, that'll numb it up for a while. Also, it sounds hard, but if you relax, it'll be much easier. I talk to my dr while I have mine done. Got 4 more today along my rhomboid muscle. Mine has started spraying this really cold stream of stuff when he injects it and it takes the initial pain away. He does the injection, nurse "shoots". Good luck

I have had one, and I was sooo grateful for it. The shot didn't hurt anything like the pain I was having, so it was a very welcome thing for me. And it did take just a little time, but it finally started to feel better, and finally the pain never came back.

So when are you going in for the shot? Just keep reminding yourself that it will help relieve some of the pain.

Good luck with the shot! Hope it feels better. As a physio I have seen lots of people that it has worked for and others that it hasn't. Quite a few that I have seen need arthroscopic surgery regardless. But I hope you are one that does not!
