I am wanting to make a pencil box. I want it to be in the shape of a pencil and I want to put candy on the inside. I have a petal cone templet. but I did not know if this would work to use to make one. do any of you know of a way I can make this or have a pencil templet I can use. I just dont know how even start this and really could use the help.

Personally I would just make a rectangular box base and lid, and stick a cone on one end. I don't know whether you could find an octagonal box template maybe?  The hexagon shape wouldn't work for a box with a lid.

So you would just have the rectangular box and lid and then have were the cone would come off and then they would just open the box? I am just trying to see how I could get the cone to stay on and have it were they can open the box still. I think this would really work just need a little more help from you lol.

I am thinking this might be what she was talking about but not for sure lol. I cant buy these just over needing 40 of them lol. I am going to be making a lot of them and just cant spend that much lol. but with the box I could come up with this maybe. I could still do the cone part just have to see how to get it to stay on and have it come off so they can open it still. thank you for the photo. it helps to see it

That's a template for 5 Ickes. You can make as many as you want. I'm pretty sure you print the template on the paper and ur and fold accordingly. There were a ton of poos when I googled of this. No instructions but photos. I'm sure you could see what you née to do o recreate by looking at the photos.....

Candy, Gwynn's link is to a printable file. You spend the $5 once, and you get a pattern that you can use as many times as you need to.
I was thinking of the cone sticking to the base part actually, but I haven't thought it through. I've never made one. The MyScrapChick pattern is much better thought-out than anything going through my brain!

LOL tells you how much I know. I was thinking it was a box you paid for and it came like that lol. I did find a pencil box templet I am going to try and see if I can get it to work. if not I think I will look in to just paying for a templet. I was hoping I did not have to but I might have to on this one lol. thanks so much for the help. I will have to play and see if I can come up with something. not sure but we will see.

Ok I am thinking lol not sure if that is good. ok do any of you know if there is a templet for a pencil box with a lift of lid at the top and I could use that for my pencil and the eraser could be the lid part that comes off. I just am not sure what to put in to look for something like this lol not sure what you would call a box like this

How about using the MyScrapChick template, and adding a tray in the top which you can lift out? Not quite what you said, but it's a way around it.

I did find a templet of what I was looking for. if that dose not work i am going to look at that one. if not I did find one of a school bus I could do that lol not what I was looking for but it would work . thanks so much for all the help.
