do people always call me or ring my doorbell at the one moment during the day that I can't hear it?
Yesterday I was hanging up the towels in the one room from which I can't hear the doorbell (the dehumidifier was on) - and the flowers arrived. I had to go and get them from the neighbour. I must have been in there all of 3 minutes.
This morning I put the bins out, again, about 4 minutes outside the house, and a friend rang. Luckily I heard her voice on the answering machine when I walked back through the door, and was able to pick it up and talk to her. But what are the chances? :
Lol Sarah! I hardly ever answer the phone and never the doorbell unless its a kid wanting to play. Greg hates that I'm so hard to reach. I always say, leave me a message and I'll be sure to call right back and never come over unannounced because I don't wear a bra at home lol
LOL Sarah if you could hear my doorbell! Well you actually might be able to hear it in Canada from where I am! Seriously, it's an ear-drum buster, and I still missed it.
Vivi - I'm far too curious to leave a bell unanswered on purpose! I worked for 8 years on a Help Desk where we got rated on how quickly we answered our calls, and if they were left ringing too long we were penalised. I had to train myself to screen calls when we moved back here and got piles of spam calls.
