My greys are stubborn so the color (I went with a demi this time) barely did anything or nothing at all.
I'll take a picture either later today or maybe even just wait til tomorrow for the cut. Depends on what my hair wants to do - which isn't much because it's too silky at the moment.
I've been planning to do this for a few weeks (so I wasn't doing it on a whim because other people were getting lopped. ) I was waiting for hubby to go on his trip so I could do it while he was gone and come back surprised. Except the grey thing didn't work out.

Can you do it again, or would that cause damage?

I don't know if it would help and i don't want to build up the color on the rest of my hair.

If I didn't color my hair, I'd be completely gray -- so doing it every 4-5 weeks is a must. When I first started coloring (about 20-25 years ago) I wasn't able to do the demi-colorant because it wouldn't touch the gray. I have to use the permanent coloring.

I've used the permanent and it doesn't last very long at all so it's not worth the hassle. That's why I thought I'd try the demi.

What is demi? I've heard of (and used) semi-permanent but not demi.

demi lasts about 4 weeks/28 shampoos. Longer than semi.

I usually start seeing the roots at about 3.5 - 4 weeks. That's usually a good sign I have to do them up.
I was having my hair professionally colored for a few years but I was still having to go back and have it done at 4-5 weeks. Even though it was nice not to have to do it myself, it's much cheaper this route.

I have mine professionally colored, I just don't want to mess with doing it myself!
I'm pretty sure mine is permanent color, however, it does fade as each week goes by. At this point, I'm starting to go every 5 - 6 weeks.
