Amanda just mentioned trying a new burger place near them & it got me thinking...

We've just had a Five Guys and a Smash Mouth open up in the area. I've never eaten at either one (any good?)

Last night we went to another small town with friends who rave about the food their. They admitted the service was slower than ever last night - wasn't really a problem - but didn't make a great first impression. Our food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Mark had catfish & I had a buffalo chicken wrap. We said we'd try it one more time (I'd have a burger next time I think).

Tonight we're going to Station 220 an old fire station; neither of us have been to before, but have heard a lot about.

I love trying new places!

Five Guys is the place we are going to Steph! We have been to one before awhile back and it was sooooo good! Haven't been in there in so long though that it is like going somewhere new to us! If it is good it could be dangerous in the summer because we could easily walk to this one from our place in nice weather!

We have a five guys here and when they first opened they were good, now they are just gross. I love trying different places. We went to Indiana last year and went to a red robin, that was soooo good.

Red Robin...yum!~ lol We have a Five Guys and I've heard nothing but good things about it, but we've never been there. I need to look up their menu online and see what gluten free options they have. Red Robin offers gf buns and an allergy free fryer for their fries.

5 guys is a gut bomb - you'll love it while you're eating it, but afterward you'll think "why did I do that?"

I love trying new restaurants - especially local places over chains.

It was delicious! Just have to order smart there. Their "little burgers" are actually normal sized burgers whereas their regular ones are double burgers. Also an order of regular fries there easily feeds dh and I plus there is some leftover. It is a nice treat once in awhile. Now that we just got back from there dh's brother called to say he is in town visiting his girlfriend and would we like to go out for supper with them. Guess I will be having salad tonight!

Never had Five Guys, but Smashburger is delicious! They have burgers tailored to the places they are. Like in AZ it was a spicy burger. We don't have either of them here.

Last nights dinner was awesome! Fancier than I expected, but delicious food & attentive waitstaff. Mark had the pork chop and I had a citrus glazed chicken. You can't see the au gratin potatoes under mine, but they were delicious too. Atmosphere was awesome, being an old fire station.... we'll definitely go back again.

I love five guys, smash burger, not so much. The one time I went there, the food was so greasy it made me ill.

Stephanie, what's the reddish-yellow stuff in the first pic? Are those carrots or strawberries in the 2nd pic? That piece of chicken on top looks like a little bird sitting there.

Yup, I'm not even reading this. I climbed on the scales this morning and

LOL the square piece in the top photo is a slice of pumpkin bread. And it's carrots on both plates (no strawberries)
