I noticed there is no daily today (if that's what it's called). So I thought I'd start one. What's on your plate for today??

Not much on my schedule for today....
Work until 5:00
Home to supper that is in the crockpot -- cube steaks
Get the mini stair stepper I bought last week out of the box -- it isn't helping there!!
Start yet another baby afghan -- if I find a pattern I can do.
That's it -- nothing stressful today.

long range goal for the day: get to work. I know in the East/midwest you guys get freezing rain. It doesn't usually happen here, but it did early this morning. My 40 minute commute would be over 2 hrs now and our transportation dept said to delay our commute. So, my coworker is going to take my class until they can get me a sub and then in an hour or so, I'll attempt to leave my house. I'm just praying they can find me a sub until then. Anyone have a Zambonie I can drive to work?
EDIT: Yes! Got a sub so I don't need to be there until 11:40

Michelle and Mindy -- no matter where you live, freezing rain isn't good. Be careful both of you!!
We got a dusting of snow last night and are expecting an inch or so more tomorrow.

it is so cold out, it's almost to the point of being out for 5 minutes will give a person frostbite, it's that cold. Lots of warning about it being so cold. We dressed very warm for the bus.
Then I came home and rested/had a catnap and went to a small group, I walked (but I made sure I bundled up), got a drive home.
I just ate lunch, need to keep the fire going, might make mashed potatoes to go with supper, have a free webinar online for a new church program, gotta get the kid from the bus, make sure he has no homework, get him to rest, pack his hockey stuff and head out to a hockey game late this afternoon.
Meatloaf is in the fridge for supper as well as leftover homemade mac n cheese but I might cook up potatoes and carrots so we can have that instead. I need to tidy and wash dishes.

Got the girls on the bus. No 2 hour delay this morning, bummer. I like the 2 hour delays because we get to sleep in.
After they left my dh and I went to the gym. I did abs, chest, triceps, and 30 minutes of cardio.
I feel like doing more organizing today, but I haven't decided where I'm going to start.
Abby had a special request for dinner, so I already know what I'm fixing. Salmon/broccoli/carrot patties with sweet potatoe fries. Probably an odd request from a 5yo, huh?

that's when the vp or principal needs to step in or join a class and have gym time, independent reading, etc.

no VP, principal's hubby died over the weekend....so the other 1st grade teacher is with my class and hers. The librarian is going to take them for a bit. I wouldn't worry about how long it takes to get there, but I'm still supposed to not be using my right arm and should have it slinged, but I'm not driving on icy roads 1 handed.

I had to go fill up the car after dropping daughter off. Hubby was able to take son to class, so I got out of that trip. Threw a load in the washer - in the dryer now. Did a bunch of ironing and got hubby's outfits together for his business trip. Need to make tags so he can remember what he's wearing on which day.

We have blowing snow warnings right now. And it is so cold! It is supposed to get better this afternoon. If it does Ben and I will go get some groceries. If not then we'll wait until tomorrow. Otherwise plan to do some organizing/decluttering in our closet.

Off work today, so the plan is to get the laundry & ironing done, clean the bathrooms & kitchen, then head to my craft room to start of a baby album for a co-worker. If it stops raining I will go grocery shopping.

Working a better part of the day, then home to clean. Tomorrow is Chris' birthday and I am making dinner for him, his sons, and their girlfriends. I don't mind if Chris sees my house a mess - I do mind if his kids do. Unfortunately, kids will be with their dad while I am doing dinner, but we have them on my birthday!
I STILL haven't made it to my scrap room, but if I get all the housework done, I may actually make it down there tonight.
Reagan is selling GS cookies during the basketball game tonight, so I will be playing taxi - taking her there, picking her up.

I went to my great-aunt's funeral today. She was 105. It was a lovely thanksgiving service, and we all went back to her daughter's house afterwards. She would have approved.
It was great catching up with my 4 2nd cousins and meeting my 7 3rd cousins for the first time. I've only met the eldest. He must be 25+ and I haven't seen him since he was a baby. Crazy eh?
I just got back. It was a good journey, no snow, just below 0*C all day. We have a severe weather forecast for tomorrow, so anything or nothing could happen!
