Haven't made a profile yet, sorry, just getting started on scrap jazz and scrapbook.com. Any tips or suggestions for taking pictures of your page layouts? I assume the flash should be off and good lighting. I am already totally addicted to looking at all the beautiful layouts!
Thx Donna

Hi Donna, and welcome! I try to take photos outside when I can (when it isn't freezing, that is), so that I can utilize natural lighting. If I take them inside, I do turn off the flash and make sure that there isn't any glare from my inside lights. Good luck, and have fun on the site.

Hi Donna and welcome!
You've got it: flash off and good light. I usually put mine on the floor in front of a window in the daylight, and stand over them. I have a piece of black velvety stuff that I put down first, which makes a good frame, unless it's a black LO background. Start with the camera lens close to the middle of the page then stand up slowly so that the lens stays roughly in the middle, and it will be easier to get the page square.
Then I use computer software (usually a combination of Mac Preview and Adobe PhotoShop Elements) to crop the pic, remove any names, and reduce the size to less than 200kb (there's a size limit of 470kb-ish on here) for upload. That's about it. It doesn't take long once you get into the swing of it.
Looking forward to seeing your pages!
