I've just had my second page of card-stock rip when I tore it out of a stack.

The last one wasn't too bad because I wanted a border around the edge of it so I just trimmed off the torn part, but this I want for the border itself. Have you had stacks that do that? I'm tempted to tear them all out in case it's the adhesive holding them together.

I have had that happen once in awhile! It is very frustrating when you were wanting the whole piece!

I usually don't buy cardstock like that, but I've had some of the papers from 6 x 6 pads do that. Frustrating!!!

that is incredibly frustrating! And I have had that happen to me with both cardstock and Pattern Paper (even more irritating). I have found that the further you are away from where you are tearing the more likely it is to happen.....

Yes, sometimes the adhesive was too messy or something when they made it. Had that with the Animal Crackers (and/or Kids Safari) stack.

You're not alone. I've had that happen too, and it is very frustrating.

Me too! I find it happens on my pattern paper packs - especially the really thick pads. . . So frustrating sometimes - only good thing is that there are multiple pages of the same pattern, so I end up pulling out more than one every time.

I thought this thread was going to be about tearing your cardstock intentionally. Maybe you can used the ripped edge as a decorative edge.

I don't buy too many stacks, but when I do, I tear very slowly and carefully.

I did Louise. It got right to the final inch then it tore about 3/4" right into the paper. Ah well. Another piece to cut up into something else.

This was a big, thick Australian stack made by Cre8tiv. I love all their stuff, especially the foam tape. Not available here though. I'm going to try peeling the adhesive off the rest of the stack so that it doesn't happen again.

Rosey, you might want to try heating up the glue with a blow dryer before you peel it off or try to tear off the paper. That might soften it. I wouldn't use a heat gun, because it might melt the glue too much or burn your paper before it comes free.

Good idea! Yes, it's pretty cold here at the moment. I expect the glue just got a little too brittle.

I try and get individual cardstock. I don't have to worry about it tearing and I get to support my local store at the time.

You're lucky. Individual card-stock sheets are not available everywhere.

I find individual too pricey except when they run a really good sale.

When I buy a stack......I go home, remove the cover and the back then gently take each piece apart and store them by color in my cardstock paper racks.
