My sister desperately needs a recipe, for the bean/meat dish that goes with hot dogs. I'm not sure what she's talking about but it's supposed to be an American fave.
Can you point us in the right direction? She needs it for this weekend......

well, there's chili. Different kinds - meat only (the 'real' chili), chili that beans and no meat, and chili that is meat and beans.
Or there's Boston baked beans which has bacon or salt pork in it. But maybe she's talking about chili. 
Friends aren't people you particularly like for any special reason. You just like people because they're your friends.

Are you wanting it to go OVER the hotdogs?? Then a meat chili is what you want. Put that over the dogs, sprinkle some shredded cheese on it and my DH will be over.

Here are pretty basic recipes for each. I am with Tam on the baked beans with hot dogs, (though we only make home-made for family occasions and use canned for hot dogs).
