I've just had an e-mail from a friend of mine. I used to sing in the company choir with him 20 years ago and he has long since retired. He must be in his 80s by now and very tech savvy. I've always kept in touch at the joke e-mails and Christmas letters level with him and his wife.
This is the third e-mail I've had over the last 2 months which contains jokey pics of female nudity which are really not my thing. The first one was frankly p*rn and I just deleted it, the second was not quite as bad. And now this one which is a Playboy calendar joke.
It just isn't like this guy. I'm not sure whether he's been hacked or whether he's losing it. Not sure what to do.
Your thoughts?

Eh- maybe a little of both. MY FIL is always sending things like that even though I have asked him not to. So, now I just delete all his emails. If I am iffy about one being a joke or not I will open it, but just to see if he is asking me something or not. If I see right away its a joke mail I will just delete. Not worth it to get into it. KWIM? If he's been hacked, well I guess he will find out sooner or later.

I actually get these from my Mom from time to time, and I have to wonder what she's thinking. I don't say anything because it's not worth the price. But I don't open her emails at work, and many of the ones that are clearly forwarded stuff I just delete without reading. It's like some poeple just don't think before they hit the forward button.

I have a brother-in-law that sends me lots of horrible emails. I talked to his wife but he still sends them. I just delete anything he sends. He is getting older also.

hmmm.....not worth the hassle of confronting him....I think as they get older they lose it as to what acceptable and whats not....
Maybe hit reply next time a dodgy one comes through and say
" are you sure this was meant for me? It s a bit borderline Fred!!"
