My DD is not far from a major bushfire in Australia. She's not answering her phone. She sent a text about two hours ago, to say it was close......but nothing since.
On the official website it looks like the fire "might" be heading away from where she is, but its still only about 10km from where she works. I hope like he11 that she has evacuated back to traralgon.
ANSWER YOUR PHONE DARLING!!!!!!

Not yet.....am tearing my hair out.
I am sure she is just working and will ring when she is finished. Just not sure if she is in the clinic thats close to the fire front or not.She does go there once a week, and I thought it was Fridays.....but not sure.
Thanks for the kind thoughts. Will let you know as soon as I hear. I am sure if they had to evacuate they would have done so by now.....i keep looking for updates on the Victoria fire authority site, and it kinda looks like the wind might be blowing it away from her direction.....but these bush fires are so darned unpredictable.

The second one is the country fire authority which would be the best to look at. The first is the rolling coverage in the victorian newspaper.
We have had bushfires close to us too. All last week we were getting thick smoke over us. Thankfully the firies got it under control. It seems all the eastern side of Australia has bushfires at present. I'm looking forward to a change of cooler weather in the next week.
