Since we've been home, we've had a rash of our ball-tip pens stopping working. Most of the blue biros that we've been working our way through, ALL my gel pens have died, and my favourite white Signa marker is the latest casualty. They all have plenty of ink, but it just won't come out of the tip.
Has anyone ever had any success with getting them working again?

Sometimes warming them up will help. I've had success with using a lighter to warm the tip, but you have to be very careful not to melt the rest of the pen. If you don't want to risk the lighter, you could try (I'm serious) sitting on them. There are some pens, though, that are gone for good if the ink has dried beyond revival. Good luck. I know how frustrating that is.

I put the bunch of blue biros on the radiator for a week, tips down. No luck there. It's the white pen that I need to get going again. I'll try sitting on it.

My white pen died. I used a baby wipe to wipe the tip and then rubbed the pen backwards and forwards inbetween my hands to warm it up. Also if you store then tip down they seem to work better.

Yes, I do store them tip-down usually. How they spent their 3 months travelling though, I have no idea. I don't think it did them much good. I'll try the baby wipes idea too.
