What's up doc? Lucy slept wonderfully last night so I'm happy. I have laundry, cooking, bus shuttling around to activities and valentine planning. How about you?

I did dishes before dropping daughter off for school and some more after. There's just some utensils, a bowl, and some baking sheets left. Made a batch of oatmeal this morning. (I think they lie about it filling you up because of the fiber or whatever, it is NOT satisfying!) I've been sitting online checking boards and reading about photography. I'm going to need to go back take notes. I think I finally found a site that speaks closer to my comprehension level. (I posted it on my thread.) I'll probably get off pretty soon and get back to the pages I was working on yesterday.
Other things I *should* do but we'll see are make banana bread/muffins (or throw the bananas in the freezer) and work on getting hubby's quilt together. House needs cleaning but I'll put that off some more.

I have already...
worked the crosswalk, picked up an Rx, bought supplies for a class I'm teaching, responded to a job interview request that came in last night.
i still need to go back to the crosswalk as a sub tonight, do class prep, do crop night prep, wait for HR to call me.

Oatmeal always fills me up and makes me feel like I ate too much so I hardly ever eat it. I've been on a strawberry kick lately and went and bought strawberry oatmeal but I have yet to try it, that's like dessert to me LOL

i didn't sleep much last night and when I did I had awful dreams, not sure what was up with them.
I did the dishes last night so this morning I washed up the few I cleaned out of the fridge, started grating a zucchini for muffins but never got that far.
Looked at rings online.
And had a catnap. I am beyond ready for bed but have to figure out supper and get my butt dressed so I can at least look presentable for a meeting tonight.

Fed Ben and myself, showered and dressed, changed clothes again after Ben spit up on me, threw the doormat in the wash after one of the dogs threw up on it, and unloaded the dishwasher so far.
I want to do more laundry and wipe down the fronts of the kitchen cabinets today. In the scraproom I want to do some organizing of photos.

Getting ready to shower then headed to the health department to talk to the diabetes lady. Then going to a new grocery store about 30 minutes from where we live. They are a kroger discount store and everything is about 1/2 of what it is at the regular grocery. Then home and maybe some laundry. Not in the mood for much today.

Well I emptied dishwasher, tidied the kitchen, and then went to my salon for a face wax, dropped off rented movie at the video store, and grocery shopped. Home for lunch, looking forward to finishing up a hat i started knitting yesterday, and supper to prepare.
I love oatmeal for breakfast and it does satisfy me alot longer than most other breakfasts. Try having an apple or pear with it, more fiber may help you last longer.

Vivi, no Tam really does mean SOW! Pop into the Challenges forum and see what new fun stuff is going on in there! Oh and great news about Lucy sleeping.
What's the matter Sarah?
I made a card, and a LO for Nora's friendship challenge. It's been cold, dark and miserable outside today, but I'm a happy bunny.

I add craisins and almonds. What I need is a steak.

I was watching Rachael Ray today and she had a guest on that made some oatmeal and added in two teaspoons of peanut butter and a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips - that sounds like my type of oatmeal!

Today was the girls first day back to school. After they left I started getting ready for my appointment. Just as I was finishing wetting my hair the water just stopped flowing out of the faucet. Not what I needed. My dh was able to get it running again though.
We were about 15 minutes late for my apppointment. I didn't think it was a big deal, since my Dr usually runs 30 minutes behind, but the receptionist went on about me being late for a bit. Needless to say my BP was high again. 140/90 I'm not worried about it though. My dh took my BP after my last appointment for a week and it was fine.
Everything is fine. My Dr pulled out some suture material that was festering. He said it will eventually dissolve.
After my appointment we ran a few errands and went somewhere for a bite to eat.

Almonds are a natural appetite suppressant.
But it takes about 20 minutes for the brain to get the message from your stomach that you're full. Apparently. So if you eat quickly, you'll eat more food than if you eat slowly and feel full before you finish.
Try having eggs or fish for breakfast. You might find that protein keeps you full for longer.

I don't like breakfast eggs really. I'll occasionally make one but then about halfway through I have to almost choke the rest down.
I don't eat very fast (I don't care for oatmeal really either.) I don't feel full at all. It makes the hunger pangs go away for awhile (just like eating anything) but then I'm really hungry.
I need steak.

went to several stores here in town looking for a halogen light bulb for our ceiling fan (and only light) in our living room. thought I had found one, but nope - wasted $10, on the wrong one. will have to send dh to "the city" half an hour away just for one dang light bulb after he gets off work tonight
