Normally I organize mine by color but I am finding that I don't like that system for paper that comes in paper packs. I want to be able to access the scraps easy from a paper pack if I am working with that pack later on.

I have some large plastic bags that I place the paper pack and the scraps in and then refile with my unused paper. I will also put them into a baggie and into my scrap paper file once I only have the scraps left. Best way to not disturb my system.......

well, I organize them by color so that doesn't help you.
If you want to keep them with the paper packs, buy some craft keepers.

I have one of those concertina folders for random papers and card-stock, organised by colour. But if my scraps came from paper packs, I keep those together with the pack. I store the packs upside down in a magazine box, or in 12x12 plastic bags so that the bits don't fall out.

Is that what you mean?

Yes - why didn't I think of just putting the packs upside down so the scraps don't fall out!

I pretty much do the same with my scraps as Rosey does. A lot of times, the "bag" the paper pack comes in tears down the side, so I buy a lot of those 12 x 12 clear envelopes to put them in. They will even hold more than 1 paper pack so I mark which paper packs are in the envelope. And I use a lot of those 12 x 12 priority boxes that I get in the mail instead of throwing them out. I just cut them down like a magazine holder, and it works!

I do what Rosey does for collections. For paper pads, I clip the scraps to the cover. The clips don't seem to damage the paper, but it wouldn't be a big deal if they did, because they're scraps anyway. For solid colors and sheets that aren't part of a collection, I sort by color in a small sectioned accordion folder.
