most of you know my dd is getting married this month.....JAN 12th...time flies!! they got engaged last may...some think its sudden but its been a LONG time planning!! lol
i think i have it all taken care of (ordering, renting, reserving etc) finishing up last min details each day this week.....its been fun..but stressful!!
i will post photos when i can next weekend..most of you know her as the 11 yr old i started out on here with LOL she will be 20 next march....  We love her fiance..they've been dating for two years already!!!!  they dont want any kids for 7-10 yrs..which is fine with me...im too young to be a grandmother LOL
in prep for the wedding ive lost 30 pounds since aug 20th!!  ( i posted pics on fb...most of you saw those!)
i will be gaining a spare bedroom/office/scraproom! ! i might start scrapping again lol 
here is an engagment photo i took...i got it made into a canvas to use at entrance of reception.
kimberly morris used the other photo to make the invitations..i love them!!!!

this is my "before"and after pic..taken august 18 or so when we went to the keys...i didnt notice the difference cause im never in photos..til my neice took the next photo on christmas day and later texted it to me!! im shocked i pulled it off LOL

I hear ya, that is also part of the reason I stopped coming here a couple of years back. My life got busy and I felt like I had to cut something out so I decided to stop coming here. I enjoy coming somewhere like this because of all the scrap stuff but also because of the feeling of community. But it seemed like every time I posted something it got one or two replies even if it was asking for prayers or something meaningful whereas others could post a thread like they swept the floor today or something trivial and it would get a ton of comments. I have felt a lot more welcome since I have been back though and I am glad because I really do enjoy coming here.
Back on topic! Congrats on your weight loss! And on your dd's upcoming wedding! Weddings are always a fun time and if it motivated you to look and feel better about yourself then that is a wonderful bonus!

Well, I get anxious/nervous when I see 100 looks and no replies..so im thinking its people who arent really members here..."guests" they call them. Makes you wonder who they are...or at least it makes me wonder. I'm not comfortable leaving personal stuff up on here (and others do the same thing!!) I was one of those 90 (for once - you must admit that I usually do post!) so that made it personal!
But moving on, I don't think there were 90 genuine readers. I think most of them were bots, not real people. We all need to remember that this is a public message board and any stranger can just drop in at any time; friend, stalker, ex-regular, someone with a chip on their shoulder, and people who are too shy to join in the chat. But I bet most of the views are from bots.
And back to the original subject, have you got your outfit organised yet? Are you wearing a hat?

thanks rosey - i probably am emotional more than usual this week!!! im happy and sad at the same time...plus super stressed out...ive done 99.8% of the planning by myself..with little input from my daughter..shes so laid back..she just says whaever LOL
.i did get my outfit...im not 100% happy with it...but its gonna have to do!! the original one i tried on was navy blue..cant wear that cause its the bridal party color...so i got a color that works with blondes (even fake blondes) its called "cherry" but its coral or salmon to me. i feel HUGE in it...and no i will not be wearing a hat....had you mentioned it sooner i might have considered it LOL

accents are silver and blue vases, stems of crystal flowers that light up with blue lights
so basically ivory, silver and navy blue...evening wedding - will be dark out pretty quick.

Navy, white and silver sounds so pretty. Blue is really IN for weddings at the moment isn't it? Stephanie's was blue, and so was the wedding I sang at over Christmas.
And there were lots of hats at that one, and lots of giggles over them from the choir. One was an enormous, almost vertical creation attached to the side of this woman's head, all feathers and gauze. The people sitting the other side of her wouldn't have been able to see a thing round her!

Sorry I missed the pictures. 20 in March you say?! My DD turns 20 in March also. I personally can't imagine; but one of her friends from school (since elementary) got married in November. As long as they're both happy.

I have no idea! I haven't got over those horrors that Beatrice and Eugenie wore to William and Kate's wedding yet.

Love the color choices. I'm a little surprised she has a 'whatever' attitude, but maybe it's her age? I was the same way to an extent, but I actually planned most of my wedding in a HS class. Our assignment was to plan our wedding. We were 19 when we got married.
I'm not a hat girl, but if you think you can pull it off go for it!

Congrats on the upcoming wedding!! The colors sound great and I'm sure your dress is beautiful too. Someimes I think it's harder for the mother of the bride to find a dress - more than the bride!
I was honestly thinking about you the other day and some of the posters that moved onto a separate board - do you all still stay in touch? There were a few people that I went to a crop with in CT like YankeeScrapper and DonnaLiz and Gina (I think - she got a ticket because her windows were tinted too dark!). I hope they are all doing well.
