make you feel freshly inspired to scrap/craft?

I do. I think that whole leading-up-to-Christmas period being stuffed to over-flowing with other things that just had to be done has given me withdrawal symptoms.

Yesterday I sat down at my desk, all ready to make something new, but I was faced with a pile of unfinished projects from November that I had to complete first.

I experienced a type of withdrawal during December. I had so many things that I wanted to do that I just didn't make time to scrapbook much, and I started to get depressed. (There were other factors too, but this one was unexpected.) Once I sat down and actually completed my One Little Word layout for October (I'm a little behind), I felt as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

Scrapbooking is a stress reliever for me. It definitely lightens my mood too. I think I am psychologically addicted to it, but I figure there are worse things that I could be addicted to. So I'm OK with making sure that I feed my addiction on a regular basis. It doesn't matter to me whether I'm scrapping old photos or new. I just have a NEED to do it.

Good question!

I feel that way too. I need to be creative somehow, or I get frustrated.

Yes I do because it seems like I have more time to scrap and get projects done.

YES! Definitely. . . I decided I'm going to scrap this weekend, even though I should start putting Christmas stuff away. I haven't done scrapping since the beginning of November. I guess I trade that out for cookie baking. I can't wait to get started - I have a whole list of things I want to work on, now the problem is what to do first!

Yes! I have so many craft project planned for this year. Trying to plan lo kits for my niece, and crafty things to do with my little great nieces & nephews when I visit with them, plus I want to learn how to do a few new things this year, like sew, cake decorating & crochet/knit.

I spend the last weeks before Christmas making gifts and by the time I get them all made, I'm ready for my own projects!

Nope......

Think it's weather related.......I would rather be doing other stuff out in the warmth right now.

I did some reorganizing of scrap stuff over the last week, and now I'm definitely wanting to scrap. Except I don't want to make a mess in my now-clean scrap space!

Yes and I haven't scrapped since last summer.

A funny story though; usually we take a bazillion pictures of our boys opening their gifts.

Well after getting up at 2:58 (exhausted) and watching them opening their presents; I realized we didn't take a single picture of them, not only then, but not even later that day. My DH took one picture of the tree with the presents underneath before we went to bed on XMAS Eve. So I am taking that picture and telling the story! I have never done a 1- page LO for Christmas!

LOL Kathleen, we were pretty much the same. I took only 2 on the day itself (scrapped already ) and a few bad ones when niece and nephew came over on Boxing Day, and that's it. I think that's why I've been all frustrated about scrapping - because I have nothing much Christmassy to scrap.

Sharon - Queenstown had snow in January?
