When I first began making cards, I didn't use patterned paper or stamps. I drew (or traced) my cards with pencil, traced the image with ink and if I was feeling really inspired, I colored the drawing in.
For this challenge I want you to create a card by using this technique. Cannot draw very well? Trace an image onto your card and use that!! It is easy using tracing paper and a pencil to make your own transfer paper.
Trace an image onto the tracing paper, color the back of the the tracing paper with pencil, then turn over onto a clean card, traced image side up and go over the image in pen. You will need an eraser to clean up some of the smudge on the finished image but it is so much fun!! Or if you are artistic, draw your image. Just have fun!!
******Once your card is finished, upload it into the Scrapjazz.com gallery with "January 2013 Card Challenge" somewhere in the title and then link your card in this thread. If you link it into this thread by January 31, 2012, you will be entered into a random drawing for a $25 coupon from Scrapjazz.com.
I cannot wait to see what you all make!!!

Here is mine. I traced the flower using my light tracer from a piece of patterned paper I had. Then I colored it in.

that is so pretty, I'm completely baffled as to how to trace something more than really simple. And you did such a fabulous job.

Here is my entry for this challenge. I actually completed 2 this month-a miracle!!
I doodled this on white card stock and then colored it in with colored pencils. I need to get some more mineral oil so I can blend the pencils because I am not loving how the coloring came out. However, I had a TON of fun doing this. I first doodled big mums on copy paper and then condensed them to this. I even bought a sketch book to doodle in today and am going to carry it around so I can do it anywhere.

I waited til the last minute too - here is mine:
http://www.scrapjazz.com/galleries/23267/view/ 5828...
the little heart skipping is hand drawn.
my dh was looking over my shoulder as I was drawing, and he complimented me on my drawing skills, so that made me pretty happy I had a few other drawings, but they ended up being too big to put on a card, I gotta learn to doodle smaller

Prismacolor has a blending pen. I think it's for the markers but it blends pencil. I got one at Michaels. It's chisel, not brush though. However, it works well.

Hmm, I might have to look into that. I wonder if my Dove blender pen would work? I might have to try.
