We are officially on the road! While I've been calm as a cucumber until now.... I've become quite the spaz today! LOL Miraculously managed to sleep til 6, but then popped up & got right to work on all of my last minute packing. We had the truck loaded & left home by 11. The same time that Britt & Jav had landed in Ft. Myers! She reports that it is 78* and sunny (they've already got groceries & are on the beach) 
We went to the mall to get my nails done, had lunch there, bought this years calendar & hit the road for St. Louis.
Just heard from Jeremiah, he & his friend are on their way to Indianapolis (we both fly out at 6 a.m. but they land first) Beth should be in Chicago by now... on the first leg of her journey 
SO super excited!!

Awww... thanks Liz!
Britt just sent me a picture of the lighthouse. It has big red bows all around the top - for Christmas  That' not exactly how I want it to look in all our pictures! LOL

In Chicago, been to dinner and getting ready to take a dose of NyQuil and call it a night. We are getting up at 4am to catch the 5am shuttle and 6:50 flight. I spent my entire day at MedStat yesterday with a sinus and ear infection. While the meds are helping, I am not 100% and want to rest up before eating up :).
Can't wait to experience the Sanibel I have heard so much about!

Loved this sunset as we approached St. Louis this evening!
We should have called Ruth's Chris (where we'd planned to have dinner) because they were closed tonight  But we found another place where dinner was ok..... and the cheesecake made up for it - LOL
Alarm will go off at 4 for us as well.

That cheesecake looks amazing! I did laundry today and hung up all the clothes I'm taking. I've been making lists and more lists so I don't forget anything. So so so excited!!!

I had to laugh yesterday as one of the agents in my office went to FL for Christmas. She was showing me pics that they took and they were on Sanibel. I saw the lighthouse and knew exactly what you are talking about with the bows and greenery on it. I too hope they get it down before your wedding.

I was looking at the beach cams earlier, but I don't know which beach the lighthouse is on. It doesn't show in any of the webcams that I could find.

There are no cams at the beach by the lighthouse. The closest cam would be at the Holiday Inn, and even that is pretty far west of the lighthouse.
