Do you use sketches for your layouts? If so where do you get the,? I love your work and am getting ready to return from my own travels with massive amounts of photos.......

No - I never use sketches - I tend to use a lot of photos on each layout and sketches just don't work out for the sizes and numbers of photos I use. I print out my photos for each layout and then crop them and lay them out on 12x12 paper (I figure anywhere from 3-8 photos or more). Then I work from there on where and what size of title and embellies I can add. I have the same problem with page kits . . . Though I do buy them every so often, I just never use the kit they way they show.
For me - it always starts with the photos and their colors. . .

Oh also. . . I tend to make each layout one place or theme. . . .I don't scrap every photo, that way my album(s) are just huge . . .not massive. Though for some trips I do have two albums, but what the heck. . . .
LOL - and then I'm an admitted paper freak so when I lay my photos down I try and show as much of my favorite papers underneath as I can . . .
