My outside decorations came down about an hour ago...with snow on the way, figured it was best. Inside decorations will probably come down tomorrow. I am on vacation and if get snowed in, will need something to do.

Ours will be up until New Years Day.

I'm just getting a chance to veg and enjoy looking at them. We have a fire going in the fireplace today and our tree looks so lovely.

We usually take down New Years Day, but DH starts a new job on the 2nd, so it may be sooner.

Tradition has always been that it comes down Christmas Day... When you live in a small house like we do, I am eager to get it down to make room for the kids to play with their new toys... Kept that tradition up with Brock in the house so it came down mid morning yesterday, lol.

Our decorations have been up for awhile, so we were ready to take them down. Everything is down and put away except the garland above the kitchen cabinets and the dining table center piece. I'll take the garland down today, but I'll leave the dining room table like it is for now.

The house looks bare!lol

Nope. Definitely not today. My theme is 'snowmen' so they can hang around a little longer than Santas and Reindeers. Right?

They sure can!

I have snowmen too, but I store them in my Christmas boxes, so I put it all away at the same time. Less work for me.

All I put up this year was the tree and one big wreath. The 2 smallest Grandkids decorated the tree so the bottom half was VERY full
I take the tree down on New Years Day.

I think I'll leave mine up till New Years. I've been known to go longer but I'm anxious to get the house decorated. I practically had to start with the Christmas stuff as soon as we got moved in.

I'm not Catholic, but growing up we Always left the tree up until after Epiphany. I still do. I also got a later start, so it's not been up that long.
