1 sleep left until his first official hockey game!!! the twinkle in his eyes and the smile on his face when he talks about his first hockey game is out of this world!!! he cannot wait!!!
He even has his position picked out (even though they don't do that in initiation teams, yet) and he has plays in his head that he is going to try to use. He's so funny!!!
I'm not looking forward to being up so early but I'll probably be awake most of the night in fear of sleeping in. We'll end up setting our alarm clock, his alarm clock and we'll probably have hubby's phone set to go off....
Pretty sure he's going to have to miss at least his first game today. He has already shed many tears when we were talking about it. He woke up with a sore belly and wasn't feeling the best. Here's hoping it's just a small bout and he'll be able to get at least sunday's game in if he can't get any games in today.... i just pray he's feeling better, it's all he has been looking forward too.
I know it seems small in light of todays events but coming from a boy that doesn't know what has taken place in the states today this is huge to him.

he'll just be playing other kids his age level but from different teams... so ages 4-6

never thought of him being too excited... hmmm... he threw up once and then said he was hungry at 2:00am and I said no food, he asked for a drink and I let him have a small drink of water but knew the outcome, he threw that up but has been fine since. He's now playing and acting like himself. He's eaten almost half a piece of toast and had some apple juice but so far so good.
We did keep him home for the 7:00 game and even though he was really sad he agreed it was a good idea. Here's hoping we get to the lunch time game and he's ok.... but if not he seems to understand even though it's his favorite thing to do in the whole world...play hockey.

Oh that doesn't sound like over-excitement, does it? Poor laddie. What did he have for his evening meal? Maybe something disagreed with him. I'm glad he's feeling better now.

he had homemade fries and chicken and then before bed a homemade cinnamon bun... stuff he's had quite often... there's so much going around here though it's hard to say... pretty sure he's on the mend though, acting more and more like himself... resting now and watching a hockey movie as he was up for a few hours in the night so he's quite tired.
