I have a set amount of time for my Internet per month. It's 5 whatever the things are called. I have gone over often. It's all that's available tho. Anyway, I use SO much time w/no watching movies, videos, etc. Most is here, FB, and email. Any ideas of what could be eating my time up? I have the free Norton anti-virus. tia

Here is a good calculator which you can use to tell you roughly what you might use, given your internet habits: http://www.which.co.uk/technology/computing/g uides...
Have you got Wireless (wi-fi)? Have you got a firewall and internet security set up so that nobody else within range can steal your bandwidth?
I'm guessing you mean a 5Gb (Gigabytes) limit. Does that include uploads as well as downloads? With some packages, when you upload a photo, eg. to Facebook, that counts against your allocation. Others don't. It's worth finding out.
You can also download monitors which tell you how much you're using for what. I can point you at them if you're interested.

All the adds on the pages and "background" run programs take up a lot of bites.
