I have trays made for my mouth a long time ago and bleached my teeth on and off many times through the years. I even did the treatment facility stuff. My teeth are generally pretty white as it is but I like them nice and perfectly white so I bought the gel at the dentists yesterday. I guess they increased the strength allowed for it and, boy, it is strong! The mucus membrane around my mouth was burning almost immediately and I was sure I was goings to have sores after I took it off. No sores, nothing, just whiter teeth right away LOL
D you bleach regularly?

I had it done at the dentist a year or so ago, but need to again. Have heard (& wondered) about hydrogen peroxide whitening (?) I've read that that's the main ingredient in most OTC whiteners.... and that if you simply dip a q-tip into it, wipe it onto teeth & leave it for 30-60 seconds every day, it works. I wonder....

Not with bleaching trays. Hydrogen Peroxide does the trick for me. I dont swish it daily though.

No. I tried an OTC one but it sucked and was uncomfortable. I don't think I made it through the whole regimen.
My teeth could most definitely use it.

I'm going to do it again this afternoon. I can see the results right away. Love it! But I do hate the feeling of the goop on the teeth after I take the trays off and brush. Yuck!
The hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda works fine Steph.

I do, too. I wasn't told that, but I didn't ask either. Maybe it's just because they color match to the rest of your teeth. You could have sparkling white and yellowy crowns.

I got the stuff from the Dentist when my braces came off.
Used it overnight, no burning - no pain and pretty white teeth!

I have trays - have done it a couple of times. Love the results & was thinking about doing it again the next time I have an appt.
Sorry to hear about the burny-ness. I always try to be careful about how much I put in the trays, to minimize the amount that gets on my gums.

I thought I was putting very little on. I even thought I was putting too little on! They did warn me that it would be strong. I don't mind it too much because it only stays on for thirty minutes.

Nope, I did a long time ago and my dentist says it one of the reasons my teeth are so bad now. It's really harsh on your enamel.

Thirty minute 35% strength. I did it for the third time this morning and my teeth are sensitive but not too bad. Burning during processing is gone.

My teeth hurt if I use whitener. I do have some stains from my first set of braces. I have an appt in the next couple weeks just to have them get them off. I would do veneers, but I like to bite things and heard they'll come off.
