Mindy, I cant convince my dh to put lights up on the house. My dh would be the type to leave them up all year once he put them up. 
thats my dh too - he thinks its such a waste of time to climb all the way up there, have lights for one month, then have to climb back up to take 'em down. I am trying to think of a way to put up permanent hooks so that putting them up can be much faster

Notice the pinky-ish colored ornaments. The kids got them for me about 2 Christmases ago. BUT there were only 3 or so in the pack! They don't go far on a big tree!

Same here. It was hard trying to get light up high on the juniper tree with a 2 ft stepladder and a ladder you have to lean against the house.
Friends aren't people you particularly like for any special reason. You just like people because they're your friends.

LOVE it Kim, how fun! I decorate our big tree with the 'base' ornaments and then I let the girls add the rest of the ornaments.

I have quite a collection of snowmen too Debbie. I've been thinking about buying a white tree for our bedroom just for my snowman ornaments. Lol! I like your ds's collection of nutcrackers, and your stocking tree too.
Christy, I have an uncarved pumpkin in the kitchen. I'm trying to decide if I want to use it in soup or pitch it.

I have a snowman collection as well, but they're all shelf-sitters, and some of them quite large. They've been in a huge tote for several years (since moving from the country). Would love to pull them out next year, just gotta figure out a place to put them.

Our tree.
The village and Advent calendar I made last year in Australia, and the Advent candle I bought at the Advent Fair this year - the only thing I bought. It isn't as nicely presented this year, as it's all on the lounge windowsill instead of the table with different levels that we had in Aus.

I guess so, if they are the same thing. The room where the TV is, and the armchairs and sofa, where we sit down at the end of a long day to relax.

I was brought up to call it the sitting room. I'm not sure when I changed - sometime after I left home. DH calls it the front room even though it's at the back. 
I've never heard of the bonus room!

Here's a few pics. One of the LR window last night. I moved the wreath to the other window (it was in between) since I have lights on the outside tree (though not nearly enough  ). And the tree pics were taken sitting in my chair in front of the windows. One last night lit (the star blinks and I didn't catch it on) and then today in daylight. THe kids keep eating the candy canes off the tree. Click the links if you want to see them a little bigger. They get resized when you imbed them.
