Does everyone have their Christmas decorations up? Want to post pictures? I want to see!

I don't have our tree up yet, but everything else is. I'll try to take some pictures today. I probably wont get lights for our tree until Monday.

I've had mine up since two weeks before thanksgiving! Lol I bought a couple of little things here and there but not much. When you look at the boxes full of stuff you'd think I have tons. But it doesn't look like that much in big rooms I think.

I was just looking at the picture I took of our porch and I think I'll add more to it next year. Maybe greenery around the door with lights or ribbon.

I always think I'll buy decorations after Christmas, but then everything is so picked over I rarely find anything I like.

The snowman has white lights and the pot has blue lights in it. I bought a larger blue ribbon to go around the pot, but I haven't added it yet. Then a close up of my wreath.

We also have blue lights around our spiral bush and around our lamp post. I'll try to get pictures of those later. Maybe I'll take some pictures of my snowmen too. I dont have all of them out this year.

we put the tree up the day after thanksgiving, I let the boys put some of the decorations on - so the lower branches were decked out LOL

dec 1st, we got out the rest of the tree ornaments, I put up the knick knacks and nativities

last night I finally put a big homemade wreath with lights up outside, and that is all out there, because it's just too wet already, we missed out on the prime "put up lights weather", because we don't have a ladder that reaches high enuf, and we never got down to the neighbors house to borrow theirs LOL - I should have asked for a ladder for christmas

Mindy, I cant convince my dh to put lights up on the house. My dh would be the type to leave them up all year once he put them up.

The Santa is a plastic cross stitch craft my dh's grandmother made for us. The girls always put it around our thermostat. I moved it once already and they moved it back. lol

I took a picture of my favorite set of snowmen. It has a mom with baby, dad with two small snowmen, perfect. They are setting in my kitchen window, but I had to move them to get a decent picture of them.

I just took a picture of one side of our cabinets. The other side looks the same.

Oh, and a picture of our dining room table...nothing fancy.

DH has been sick and I need extra hands for a few areas, so I don't know if this will get done this year, but :
I have 3 foot tall candy canes, 2 Toy Soldiers (8 ft tall) for our driveway, a 7ft tall snowman with a purple hat (had to have the purple lights!), and a wreath that I hang on the telephone pole that is 7 ft in diameter.
Plus a Nativity, icicle lights, net lights, and I detail the house lines, plus have globe lights for some trees and white lights for other trees and create regular trees with posts.
I'm hoping for a fence along the driveway so that I can run lights and icicles along that.

Just the tree so far (we put it up yesterday evening) and it only has the lights on. I'll add the decorations shortly, then we'll start on the house. Probably this weekend. I can't wait to get all the boxes back in the loft again. I'm beginning to hate boxes with a passion.

Each of my dd's has a tree in their room that they decorate on their own. Lilly's tree has the purple ornaments, Camy's tree has the turquoise ornaments, and Abby's tree has the pink ornaments.

(Hopefully the next phones we get will take better pictures.)

It's only December 6th Jen! Most people here don't have any decorations up for a couple of weeks yet. We just decided to put ours up early as we didn't have a proper Christmas last year. Give me a few hours and I'll post a pic or two for you.

thats my dh too - he thinks its such a waste of time to climb all the way up there, have lights for one month, then have to climb back up to take 'em down. I am trying to think of a way to put up permanent hooks so that putting them up can be much faster

Notice the pinky-ish colored ornaments. The kids got them for me about 2 Christmases ago. BUT there were only 3 or so in the pack! They don't go far on a big tree!

Same here. It was hard trying to get light up high on the juniper tree with a 2 ft stepladder and a ladder you have to lean against the house.

LOVE it Kim, how fun! I decorate our big tree with the 'base' ornaments and then I let the girls add the rest of the ornaments.

I have quite a collection of snowmen too Debbie. I've been thinking about buying a white tree for our bedroom just for my snowman ornaments. Lol! I like your ds's collection of nutcrackers, and your stocking tree too.

Christy, I have an uncarved pumpkin in the kitchen. I'm trying to decide if I want to use it in soup or pitch it.

I have a snowman collection as well, but they're all shelf-sitters, and some of them quite large. They've been in a huge tote for several years (since moving from the country). Would love to pull them out next year, just gotta figure out a place to put them.

OK here they are. Don't get too excited!

Our tree.

The village and Advent calendar I made last year in Australia, and the Advent candle I bought at the Advent Fair this year - the only thing I bought. It isn't as nicely presented this year, as it's all on the lounge windowsill instead of the table with different levels that we had in Aus.

I guess so, if they are the same thing. The room where the TV is, and the armchairs and sofa, where we sit down at the end of a long day to relax.

I was brought up to call it the sitting room. I'm not sure when I changed - sometime after I left home. DH calls it the front room even though it's at the back.

I've never heard of the bonus room!

Here's a few pics. One of the LR window last night. I moved the wreath to the other window (it was in between) since I have lights on the outside tree (though not nearly enough ). And the tree pics were taken sitting in my chair in front of the windows. One last night lit (the star blinks and I didn't catch it on) and then today in daylight. THe kids keep eating the candy canes off the tree. Click the links if you want to see them a little bigger. They get resized when you imbed them.

I have our tree up, my living room decorated and put some decorations on the railing to go upstairs. I did the window in our kitchen and our light fixture and then pooped out. Chris put up lights outside and wrapped a garland around the lamp post outside. We also have a fresh green wreath on our door. I will take pics tomorrow and post them.
