Laid in bed too long, finally look at the clock and now I'm running late. Grab some pants, look out the window... crap, frost. So I go to run outside to start the car to help defrost it, my pants still hanging open.I'm at the top of the stairs and see the neighbor boy walking to the busstop. Go to pull my pajama top over my open pants....
BAM! I slip and roll down the steps @ss over elbow.
Hobbled back inside and told hubby he had to take the kids to school. Yeah, sorry for the invconvience buddy.
I scraped a pinky and 'rug burned' and elbow, a very small scrape on the other wrist. Hit both shins and my lower back, which probably took the brunt.
He just called. He said the exasperated or whatever noise he made wasn't because I said he had to take the kids to school. It was because I fell.

I hate falling! You poor thing, I hope your day improves steeply up. Get it? Steep? Ok, not funny but a little funny?

Oh oh! I hope you aren't hurting to bad!
I hate when I fall. And I have done some real doosies, we're talking with broken bones doosies.
I'm glad your DH was upset about your fall and not about having to take the kids to school.

Yikes, glad you didn't break anything!
I fell last January in the middle of the night (in our bathroom) and broke a bone in my hand. DH LAUGHED at me. Make up your own man bashing line, but they all deserve it. Sheesh. How about "oh my gosh! Are you okay????"

Ouch!!
The ones I fell down are the wooden steps for the house. But I have had my feet go out from under me on the cement steps to the driveway (we have a long retaining wall in front about 3 feet high). It needs a railing. Which technically would be the park's responsibility but get them to do it is a pain. Hubby said he's asked before. And if I bugged them and they did it'd probably be some ugly 2 x 4 thing someone screwed together. I want to get a black metal/wrought iron railing.
