it's already 45º here and supposed to get over 60º!

Just not right for the first of December I want snow! Blowing, drifting, heaps of snow!!

Little does Mark know... I'm having pics taken this morning; for a Christmas / wedding surprise for him.

Then we are going to Hardy's Reindeer Ranch to cut our Christmas tree & see real reindeer! (That'll be my Elf on a Shelf photo of the day!) LOL

Gotta pick up hot dogs, buns and chips.... having friends over for a bonfire tonight.

We're getting some light snow here and it's leaving ground cover but it'll be disappearing because the temps will be going back up over the next few days.

It's only 51º here now but will get to a perfect 77 today. My hibiscus is blooming

The only bad part is I'll be spending all day at the ice rink, and DH said the other night when he took DS to drills you could see your breath in there. I've got my winter coat and fuzzy socks laid out.

If I get my act together I'm going to take the stuff to work on my Christmas cards today, maybe I can get them done if my fingers aren't too numb.

I went and rang the bell for Salvation Army this morning. Now I am cuddled under my electric blanket with hot chocolate and cookies trying to defrost.

Gonna put the Halloween/fall stuff in the basement and pull out the Christmas stuff. Left my tree at the ex's, so we will go get one next weekend when the kids are here.

Chris mentioned dinner tonight; we'll see how tired I am.

I looked out of the window at thick frost - and a deer's butt at the bottom of the garden. That really looked Christmassy. I had to scrape thick ice off my car this morning, but it didn't stay for long.

We had our crop with a binding class - SO COOL! I need to print my photos out and finish the album, but the general effect is gorgeous already.

60's here too, so nice! I wouldn't be upset if I didn't see snow all winter. I know my dh would be happy if we didn't, since he has to work out in it.

I swept and swiffered the house this morning.

I'm dropping Lilly off at the movie theater this afternoon. She and a group of her friends are going to see Red Dawn. This is Lilly's first movie without us. She's excited! I'm taking Camy and Abby to Target and Kohls to kill time. Then I'll take the girls out for dinner.

it was cold here tonight morning as well, we had to scrape the windows, and so it was extra cold in the rink...thank goodness for the warm room.

well our saturday started out pretty cruddy. I had one of my sneezing fits in bed around 2:30 so I got up to go blow my nose. Then i said to myself why does it sound like it is raining. It wasn't supposed to but i was like it sounds like it is really hard and heavy. Well I stepped in the bathroom and screamed for hubby because there was an inch of water on the floor. the toilet backed up and pretty much used it's last life. Then my next thought was oh no my kitchen... yeps sure enough, down through the floor and through the light fixture. there was an inch of water on my kitchen floor. Then we went to the basement, thankfully the water stayed in the furnace room but there was an inch and a half of water there. I am so thankful I got up when I did because if I opted to stay in bed it would have been so bad this morning when we got up.

So at 2:30 this morning hubby and I were cleaning up water and trying to get the toilet valve to work but it wouldn't turn off so he had to shut off our whole water supply.

We went to hockey, came home, went to buy a toilet but came home with a valve only. the card we were going to have to put it on expired back in sept and we don't remember getting another one.... so we just didn't have the money for a new toilet. We at least have one but need to get the valve working so we can turn the water back on. We got drinking water from a neighbour and buckets of water for our toilet so we can use that tonight. Hopefully hubby will have time after church tomorrow to get the valve hooked on properly.

We were all a tad bit cranky today and are more then ready for bed. But it's santa claus parade tonight, go visit with santa (the line up is the longest) and then hopefully bed. hubby will be late he's reffing hockey. ugh, i'm wiped!

been cooking and cleaning all day today.
it was a gloomy day here, we had rain last night, and just the wet on the ground and the continual clouds just made me keep the curtains closed.
the missionaries are coming to eat dinner at 6. I made turkey chili and southwest chicken wraps and choc. chip cookies.

I worked on cleaning. It's not 'show house' but now my house looks more like 'lived in' rather than 'slobs live here'.

J and I cleaned off the tv stand and decorated it with Christmas stuff! He did a great job. Now to get the rest of the livingroom tidied up so the tree can go up, but i'm thinking i want to wait a little while on that.... maybe next weekend when we aren't so busy.

To bad about your toilet Sarah. What a mess! I would be worried about mold. Are you running fans and a dehumidifier to get the moisture out?

Well I think I did pretty good walking around shopping today. I'm not tired or sore. Lilly liked her movie, but was a bit disappointed that her friends mom decided to stay. Lilly was the youngest one there and I was ok with her going with just her friends. All of the other girls are 14. Oh well...maybe next time they can go unsupervised.
