and I need ideas for his Christmas stocking and St. Nicks day in his boots...I didn't think he had a clue what Santa was about (not the holiday, but Santa)...was I mistaken, lol...he sat on his lap and looked him in the eye and told him he wanted toys! When my own kids were his age (20 months), they hadn't a clue...Loved the santa we went to see...so patient with the kids and real reindeer too!

Aww cute photos!

As for stocking ideas I'm clueless. I always used to enjoy getting fun little things like colouring pens and a Christmas colouring book etc.

Thanks Georgina...he does like to color already, so those are good ideas...the more I think about it, simple is probably best...I know there was a catalog of old fashioned toys...wonder what the name of it was?? Things without batteries...

Great photos! I've seen so many kids yelling their heads off when they were faced with this bearded man in red going "ho ho ho!" Scared them witless!

Yes, I was that kid who got more fun from the box than the toy inside it when I was little.

Love the colouring things idea. Can you do the traditional orange, nuts and peppermint sticks? And how about toy animals to play with, like reindeer maybe?

Christina, You can have alot of fun in the dollar store for the fillers! I remember filling my boys' socks with little wind-up toys, dinky cars, crayons, & books. There is always room for a small stuffed toy, a small treat, movie, ball, bathtub toys.

Bathtub toys! I don't know why I didn't think of that...he will sit in the tub until he is all wrinkled up, lol...and yes, the dollar store is a given...He loves the boxes things come in as much if not more than the items themselves...typical kid, lol...thanks for the ideas everyone.

Cars...boys love cars! I think hot wheels always made it into our boys' stockings. (they never put stuff like that in their mouths, if he does, you might want to wait)

Hats & mittens are also good stuffers!

He is really good about not putting things in his mouth Stephanie...he knows that's where food goes, ...he does need new mittens...I think I will make him a pair...the store bought ones he has were soaked right through today, and he was only out in the snow a bit.

What are you going to make them with? I have two rabbit pelts that Isaac wants me to turn into mittens or a hat. I hope to have 5 or 6 more in a month or two...

I will crochet the outside mitten part and line them with rabbit Stephanie...perfect for keeping little fingers dry and warm...I always made my kid's their mittens when they were little, and other kids too...never made thumbs though, just kind of like a pouch...you will have to share pics of the ones you make!!
