Are / were you one?

Britt & I are! She got a two hour nap (I had coffee) and we hit a mall just after 12. Were very surprised at how many people were out! Men, women, children....

We got a couple of good deals - nothing phenomenal, but happy with it. Also hit up Gloria Jeans (coffee) before leaving there Now we're at Kohl's, in a lonnng checkout line.

Gotta get something to eat when we leave here! Then on to another mall... or Gordman's... Or both - LOL

I have far too short a temper to brave the stores, but I hit up the online sales after work. Now ready to pass out Thanksgiving weekend soccer tournament starts in 6 hours.

Nope.

But we've actually got a few "Black Friday" sales here as well this year. It's catching on! DH and I have already decided to get a load of chocolate for 20% off for Christmas presents, but that's on-line.

I left at 6:30 to get in line for Target. My GF and I got in at 9 pm and out before 10:00. Then we hit up Toys r Us; after that we went to the mall and was at the front of the line for Macy's. We got out of there by 12:30 and went to grab a snack.

It was crazy. I was almost trampled at Macy's and there were little kids there who I was afraid would be hurt.

I got a majority of my shopping done, so I am happy!

Did you all know what you were going for, or did you get the chance to browse?

Rosey, I don't usually have specific items I'm looking for on BF. Mostly, I browse & people watch I did get some good buys today. One special item that Jeremiah wanted, a few things for other people & a few for me

I went to JoAnn's for my paper trimmer. I bought one two weeks ago with a coupon. Now I can bring it back with my receipt because I save $24 more with this sale. (60% off plus a bonus 25% off). It's the only reason I ventured out. There was about a handful of people waiting for opening. I got the only one on the shelf - don't know if there was any more stock in back but I'm thinking maybe not or there would have been more than one out front.

And I got some fabric - which I think the other shoppers were mainly there for.

I sent John off to work at job #1 at 1030 last night. Around 6 am, he headed for job #2, and hopefully won't be there past 8 tonight. I didn't go out because there's nothing I want badly enough this year to go wait in line.

We did our charity Christmas shopping. I was out all night, home and in bed by 9 and slept till 1pm. We did quite well getting what we needed, so I'm pleased with that. We have 54 kids to buy for so our budget has to stretch pretty far. The only thing we couldn't get was a girls' bike - that was disappointing because now it means we'll have to get her something else because we can't pay regular price for one . But overall I'm really pleased with how much we got done at a good discount.

Also found some cool stuff for my own kids.

It can be. There is also a video of someone threatening to stab another shopper. I heard about that one when I went to the police station to pick up my paycheck this morning. It is ridiculous and out of hand.

not most places Georgina, but if you're looking for the crazy behavior, Walmart would be the place.

I've been shopping BF for most of three decades and have never observed any of that craziness! I'd say 90% of the people we encounter are friendly, hospitable and just joyful about the holidays!

I think that's more likely to happen in the more populated areas/cities. And the 'white people' in the title of the video. There's all kinds of nuts in every color!

That is just really nuts and pathetically sad and disgusting that people behave like that. And to think they also breed.

What she said. We always have a great time, rarely do we come across unfriendly people. We waited in a long line to get a TV, and we had a great time visitng with all our neighbors. People were telling each other where to find things, helping them find the sizes or colors they needed, etc. I do think it's sad BF gets such a bad rap from a few idiots, the LARGE majority of people are not like that at all.
