Though we "hang out", eat out & go out frequently.... it's been a long while since Mark and I have had a official date night. Tonight we are & I am really looking forward to it. I chose the restaurant; I've been there for lunch with girlfriends but he's never been.
We are going to the mall to pick up our wedding rings (neither of us know which ring the other chose & won't see them until wedding day). Need to get Mark another white button up for that day as well. Also going by the bowling alley to order myself a new ball & get us both bowling shoes.
I think we all get into a comfortable routine. It's nice to change it up every now and then.
Our "date night" seems to be Saturday evenings. We go to church at 5pm, then go to Walmart to do our usual weekly shopping, pick up sandwiches (usually Subway or Arby's, because they are close to Walmart), then home to eat and put away our purchases. Then DH goes into his office to do bookwork, and I veg out in front of the TV. By the time DH joins me, he's asleep in 5 minutes!
date nights are fun and nice. hubby usually rolls his eyes or says i'm silly when we are out alone and I call it date night. out alone usually means grocery shopping and home!
