DH has been working at his old branch this week. He's pleased about that, because yesterday there was a rotovirus warning at his new building, a couple of people who had been exposed were sent home, and all visitors were stopped.
This morning he arrived at his old branch as scheduled, to meet a customer. He was stopped at the door by the normal receptionist and told he couldn't come in because they'd had a notice that nobody who normally worked at his new branch was not to be allowed in. DH pointed out that he hadn't been to the new branch since last week, hadn't seen anybody and was pretty sure he was clean.
The guy then called up the HSE manager, put him on speaker-phone in the middle of a crowded reception with a bunch of important visitors waiting for their passes, and explained. The HSE manager's response was "{DH's name}? Tell him to f*** off"
He obviously didn't realise he was on speaker-phone.
It got sorted out, and the guy spent the rest of the day apologising to him, but how unacceptable is that? This was the HSE MANAGER, for goodness sake.
