I need the lowdown. Tell me which one I need to punch holes with and show me a picture because I don't know what is what. Also, how much did you pay for it? They have them on amazon but I'm sure hobby lobby has them too. Last I checked they did. I want to go tonight so I can do my TP album. Yes, very obsessed, very...

It looks like this
http://www.weronthenet.com/cropadile
They also have a big bite, that is more combersome but can punch on things up to a 12x12 surface. The Crop a Dile only will do about 1.5 inches in. I have both and use the Crop a Dile much more often.

I'm pretty sure that I paid for it using a 50% off coupon, so it wasn't more than about 12 dollars including tax.

I love my crop a dile!! I have the pink one and the orange one. I paid $20-ish for my pink one about 4+ years ago. Then I bought the orange one at Walmart for about $10 about 2 years ago b/c my pink one is stuck in storage. I love it and use it alot for everything. It will punch through anything!!

You are lucky! I ended up buying the smaller one because I didn't want to spend so much and the hole it makes seems small to me. Are there attachments? The hole size is 1/16 in.

If you are stuck with it, you can always punch the the original punch hole a little bigger by just punching a little further out if that makes sense?

I'm still trying to figure out if I should keep it. I know what you mean though. I do have to go back to get the rings since I forgot so ill try to return it and just get the big one and be done with it. I think I was just being frugal thinking I never use that eyelets so why have the bigger one in the first place. Not the big bite but the middle one I mean.

I have this one.
http://store.scrapbook.com/wr-70908-4.html
It punches 1/8" and 3/16" holes, and sets the matching eyelets and other stuff which I haven't investigated yet! The girls are right, it only has a smallish reach, but it works fine for most projects, and it is really easy to use. It punches through thick chipboard like butter. I love mine.
Watch the little video on that product to find out about it. I'm just watching it again to find out what I've forgotten!

Has anyone tried punching through metal with it? I have some cookie sheet advent calendars which I want two holes in to hang up. DH says it will need drilling because the Crop-a-dile won't do it, and I would damage it trying. He's never touched that thing, he doesn't know its awesome capabilities! But I don't want to break it.
I just wondered whether anyone has ever tried?

Rosey,
I have hear rumors that it is possible and it will punch just fine. However, I have never been able to get the darn thing over the lip of my old cookie sheets to find out. Also, I would think that you would get shody results if it is a double layer cookie sheet......

I've never tried metal but I've tried other things like CDs. It can go through the thickest chipboard (provided you can push the chipboard into the tool! ha!). It works great with all plastics!
Oh yea, it's fun punching holes in things, just to see what it will punch through!!

They used to have a tool that you placed anywhere on the material to be punched and hammered the top of it to punch the punch part through. I think I have one of those somewhere. It looked like a modified metal pencil.

I have the Cropadile Big Bite. It is much better, in my opinion, because it lets you punch a whole smack in the middle of a 12 x 12 page. Really awesome. It punches holes and it lets you set eyelets without having to use a hammer and you won't have to make so much noise.

Hence the need for the big bite.
I have the Big Bite, paid $10 for it on a Wal-Mart closeout, use it when I have to.
I prefer my old making memories tool kit though. I think it's an ease of use thing, the tool kit is "on my desk" the big bite is in a drawer.
