Remember my friend from art who has terminal cancer?

I spoke to her this morning, she is having chemo and radiotherapy to try to extend her life.

Last week, before she went in, one of our fellow classmates, a funny old woman, said to her...." Make sure you give me your recipe for chicken rolls....would hate to see that lost forever"

Some people.......no idea!!!!!
I think Avis has some issues...... She has no idea when it comes to dealing with people.

Oh goodness, NO!

Of course, here's my glass half full thought on this:
I think that some people get so stressed about saying the right thing in these situations that all they say are the wrong things.

If not, though...OH BOY! Your friend needs to surround herself with love and kindness only.

Nope....she does it all the time.
I would not be surprised if she had something like aspbergers though....or one of those similar syndromes where social niceties are not adhered to. She told me once that I looked like I needed a trip to the beauty salon ....yes I was having a bad hair day.....but did not need to hear it from her lol.

Karen and I have been laughing about it though. She thought she should get a copy of the recipe copied and handed out to everyone in the class to cover all her bases..... At least she can still laugh about it.

Your friend has an amazing attitude. Hopefully her treatments can give her extra quality time with her friends and family.

Some people have no tact. I'm glad your friend is taking it in stride. She has a great friend in you too to help her laugh it off together.

Really, Just Really...

That's all I can say! Your poor friend!

I hope that you are right about the old lady having issues.

There was an elderly lady like that at our church in Oz. Bless her - good hearted, but always managed to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. When we were at a volunteers' "thank you" event put on by the city, she blurted out that Rev. Bruce forgot all about the nominations until the last minute and then just put in the first people he thought of. Gee thanks for telling us that - made us feel so special!

I'm glad your friend took it the right way though.
