Here's my cake. I didn't want any writing on it to spoil the pretty. 4 candles - one for each decade.  Sorry, Rosey, no eating pic. I only had a few bites since we were going out to eat and this was right before we left. Local seafood restaurant gives you a free meal on your birthday (up to $10). Then we headed to the concert.
Hubby had gotten front row tickets to see Christopher Cross. And to our surprise when we got there (hubby either didn't realize or didn't remember) our tickets also included a meet and greet! He had a sharpie to sign stuff. I had him sign my ticket. When he was done he went to hand me the sharpie and he was holding the tickets. I told him this was a surprise for my birthday and he said it was his sax player's b'day, too. A few songs into the concert, he mentioned my birthday and that I was sitting down front.  That was kind of cool. The pictures I got at the meet and greet aren't great - turns out I didn't have the camera's quality on the highest setting.  Here's the better of the two (and I have one of him signing), cropped.
Friends aren't people you particularly like for any special reason. You just like people because they're your friends.

Love that cake would have been hard cutting into it it's so pretty! Love that you got to meet cc very cool. Pity about the camera but ah well.....at least you got something!!
