Remember awhile back, when I was asked to speak at a Making Strides event? Well that ended up being for a breakfast.... and not for the walk itself. It also ended up being two days after I busted my shoulder, so I respectfully declined.
Just the other day, I received this email, which blew me away!
Hi Stephanie,
I was talking to Lesa B***t and she suggested that I contact you. I am wondering if you might be willing for me to interview you about your story and write something up for the papers (Champaign and other area papers) and if you might be willing to be a guest on ciLiving on WCIA TV with Lesa B***t (week of the Oct 15, between 4-5 p.m.) I don't have a date confirmed yet for TV, but can get back to you ASAP if you are interested. I missed meeting you at the breakfast and now it's already October. If either or both of these might work for you, please let me know.
I can do the interview by phone just about anytime. I am in the Springfield office or my cell is 4*4-6**4.

I have (nervously) agreed, and they are calling me tomorrow morning to interview. The tv thing - oy vey! It's a local show, just over a year old, and is on between 4 & 5 pm, just prior to the news.
I'll keep ya posted on how it goes.
