I suffer from what most people call FIMD (foot-in-mouth-disease)or what I like to call "creative-humor" Just when I thought Id gotten it under control..Wham-O! I called one of my co-workers a wh0re. Ok well back step... The 4 of us girls go out and eat dinner together after work to have a good time and just hang out. Two of the girls are related.. Aunt to neice. The were telling "family stories(we work in a small town where everyone knows everyone)and about what they did and got away with as teenagers. The Neice said she herself had once ended up in the backseat of a car with a friend(a girl also) and a MARRIED man. SO here comes the ZINGER...I said " Andrea...I always knew you were a wh0re!" I totally meant it as a joke!! She didnt say anything but she ripped me a new one yesterday. She said she wasnt a wh0re...which I never thought she was. I told her I meant it as a joke and she said she doesnt say "that word"...I ALMOST said...ghee..the word wh0re is worse than the F WORD??Because Ive sure heard you use that one a time or two!! I guess I need to invest in DUCT TAPE.

Oops! I hope there are no hard feelings now. There are some words which it is safer to get into the habit of just not saying at all, otherwise they might just slip out at relaxed moments and upset people.
These politically correct words and phrases are the ones that get me. Like "retarded". It's now such an offensive term, and yet it wasn't so long ago that it was only used in its original meaning of late. Like tardy. And "backward". We used to use that for kids who didn't pick things up as quickly as their contemporaries. It was a description, never an insult then, but now it is. "Challenged" is heading the same way. How long is it going to be before we have to rename a couple of the forums on here in case someone gets offended?
