"Vintage" defined as an adjective is of lasting interest or importance; classic.
I want you to create a layout using Vintage as a THEME. You can use "vintage" photos, ephemera or just use colors of a time period. Find an object in your house that is "vintage" and do a layout around it or an object online that inspires you, or use vintage looking paper. I don't want you to over think this. I am not asking you to scrap vintage photos!! (though you can if you want ) Just have fun and think outside the box!!! Whatever does inspire you, if you can, link it to this thread. It will be fun to see what everyone chooses!!
***When your layout is complete, upload it into the Scrapjazz gallery with "October 2012 Vintage Challenge" in the title and link it to this thread by October 31, 2012 to be entered into a $25 coupon to Scrapjazz.com!!

this is going to be a tough one. I just realized I did a vintage style layout, or at least I used vintage theme stickers on a soccer layout. I'm going to have to think on this one.

I shouldn't have trouble doing this challenge since I'm still scrapping my mom's old photos...

Virginia. I love looking at your layouts. I have the perfect photo to use. While we were on holidays last week we had a ride in a Cobb & Co coach (mode of transport in the 1860's+) Off to check the stash.

Found this photo with all my dad's old photos. No clue when this was taken, or who the guys are. Just bought these new papers/embellies and was excited to use it!! 8 x 8 LO

This is a major challenge for me. I'm not sure I'll be accepting it yet! I have few vintage papers, and I'm a little scared about scrapping precious old photos. I have a few which have been scanned - I might print one of those out to cut my teeth on.
I'm worried that if I start doing heritage pages, the parents will find me a thousand pics to scrap - and NOW, before they die!

I don't scrap vintage photos too often, so I interpreted this to use products labeled as vintage in the store. Almost everything on this is labeled as vintage:

Girls I didn't mean to confuse you on the vintage!! I just meant to use vintagy products OR vintage photos. The kids think since I lived in the 70's that it is vintage!!! Everyones pages are beautiful!!

Here's my interpretation. Last month we were on holidays and took a coach ride. The photos were part of the experience and fitted in perfectly for this challenge.

Rosey-YOU ARE NOT OLD!! Love the paper you used.
Kaz-Those photos rock. Was it a bumpy ride? I have always wanted a ride in one of those!!

Thanks Nora. The ride wasn't as bumpy has I thought it would be, however the track was well maintained and the ride was quiet smooth. Definitely makes you appreciate windows as the dust billowed in and around you.

I used vintage buttons and a paper line that showcased vintage quilting and samplers.

Here is what I have done for this challenge. I always loved this photo of my aunt from when she was about 18 years old.
