Do you know anything about having someone declared mentally incompetent? My Sister's and I have an appointment to see a Lawyer about our Mother. If I told you all that she's done over the last few years you'd think I was making it up but unfortunately it's all true. I'm so frustrated with her, and sad but most of all I'm scared to death she's going to try to kill herself.

Are you sure it's not being caused by a medical condition? My bf's mom was acting abnormal, doing things out of character, and it ended up being a medical issue. She's still dealing with it. It's some sort of condition that makes her body fill up with extra fluids.

I should have mentioned that the mental issues happened for awhile before the physical signs of her medical illness presented.
