Arizona sure is hot and miserable in the summer but I sure do love when the monsoon storms hit - amazing lightning and rainbows! Here's some pics from the storms this summer:

They are stunning!!!!!! Love the "light" in the first one especially. The lightening strikes are pretty awesome too.

Thanks! We are lucky and from out back patio we have an unobstructed view of the desert landscape for miles. Some nights it's literally the "perfect" storm and it feels like the lighting is posing for me - I set up my tripod and cross my fingers and wait......and wait......

and sometimes I luck out and catch it perfectly.

Oooooooooh........ that's pure eye-candy. When we lived in Singapore we had an amazing view of the storms rolling in. I miss that the most.

That first one is a rainbow inside a rainbow. I've never seen anything like it.
