* one word title
* paper piercing (making holes with a needle or tool to form a design)
* ad inspiration - find an ad and use it to inspire your layout (would be nice if you shared the ad, too)
I made sure to specify what the piercing is in case someone misread it as piecing.

This one was, I think, my biggest challenge ever. First, I don't have any paper piercing tools. So I tried cutting out a rhinestone template with my cricut and then using a needle to poke holes in a swirl. Of course, I was doing it on the background paper, so when the layout was finished, I just couldn't bring myself to post it or put it in my album - the holes were just too uneven and messy and the words (I stamped them that time) looked awful.
So then, I tore the whole layout apart and tried again. This time I typed the words and tried punching a random needle pattern on the word "fall" because hey, random, can't look bad, right? Wrong. Commence tearing apart layout for the second time. Also, the typed lettering ended up looking awful as well.
This morning I got up and tried one more time. This time I got the idea to use my three sizes of eyelet punches and a large paint stencil. I also rewrote the journalling (it was originally random things I love about Fall) to better match the ad inspiration. I can't say I love it, but compared with the first two, it's a big improvement - trust me!
Here's the ad (rotated):

And here's my third layout:

Of course, I say COW #25 was hardest - you'll notice I actually skipped COW #24.

You did an awesome job with the challenge!! Love the ad inspiration you chose!!
But I have a hard time imagining you putting together 2 LOs and tearing them apart. LOL!

It came out well!
You can also use a sewing machine - just don't thread it.

That one seems easy enough. 3 pics and outside. I usually have at LEAST 3 pics.

Right, well, I don't have any really "outdoorsy" activities coming up chronologically. I mean, some of the pictures are taken outdoors, but they would be a stretch compared to the ideas (camping, park, etc) that she listed.
I'll come back to it.

Well, I don't think there was much actual tearing involved, because I salvaged the photo collage both times. But I did destroy them pretty thoroughly!

I don't think it has to be anything like what was mentioned. I'm pretty sure anything that is "outdoors" would qualify! Besides, aren't the challenges here to motivate us, not necessarily to do everything exactly???

No,you have to do it exactly. I try to follow them as exact as I can but scrapping chrono makes it harder once in awhile. Like the 'dare' one. Dare for a title just isn't going to happen. I prefer ones that get you to use techniques and tools rather than particular events or places, etc.

COW 25 is done. Now let's see if I can figure out how to insert the magazine ad that I used as inspiration (this might take a while, so stay tuned).

I agree, sometimes certain events are hard to do if you don't have the pics to go with them. And I love doing techniques too. But, with that said, a challenge is a challenge and we all do the best we can with them!

Finally, here is #25. Finding inspiration from an ad other than scrapbooking is apparently very hard for me. Here is my ad inspirations.

Love this LO! What is it about this owl paper that puts a smile on your face? Perfect colors for the polka dots and background. Sunny, happy, upbeat darling cousins. How often do you get all five to pose together? Treasure this photo, Deb as your journaling says it all.
