Just curious. I still have the same fridge and stove since my dh and I moved to this house. Which was like 12 years ago.
We have replaced the washer and dryer. Dryer might have still been kicking. But it caught fire.
We were jsut discussing today if we would have to replace things soon. I have no idea what if the average life span.

We built our house almost 6 years ago, so almost 6 years. The longest we've ever had an appliance is maybe 10 years, but we didn't replace it because it malfunctioned. We just wanted the newer features.

I think the house was about 10 years old when we moved here and the appliances were probably original. Been here 11 1/2 years now and still same washing machine. Dryer was first to be replaced. Fridge about 3 years ago-ish? And we got a new stove last year. Necessity, not for upgrading. The dryer wouldn't dry if I remember right. The fridge died one day and the stove was a fire hazard though technically it still worked.

When we got married, my grandmother bought us a wash machine. It's still running 19 years later (well, except for that lil' problem with 'em dawgs .)

Our house is 6 years old, so that's about how old our appliances are. However, this is the second fridge because the first one was a lemon. And we've had the whole electronic panel replaced on the oven already (it's a Jenn Air)

ummm.... I've been here 13 years. Same fridge, dishwasher, and clothes dryer. Washing machine died about 5 years ago and I got a new stove because mine was gas and for christmas one year my mom bought me an electric one with the glass top. I think the dishwasher is on its way out.

Been in our house 2 years, all new appliances but fridge and it is 11 years old. I hate it, but we'll get a new one sometime!
We just paid $260.00 to have our washer repaired...ticked me off!

My stove was 13yrs old and still going strong but it died in the move when it got dropped so now we have a brand new one. The dishwasher is brand new but never had a built in before. Washer and dryer are a year old. The other ones were 14 yrs old when they died and I cant complain cause we got them when we got married and the whole set was 249$ and I have no clue what the name brand was something Ive NEVER heard of. I still have a toaster which I got before my first marriage 21 years ago. It gave me a scare by blowing our circuit breaker twice last month, but DH fixed it and it still works. My appliances are kept until they die, DH's are kept until something comes out with newer features that he can't resist, AND the price comes down to an acceptable level. Spendthrift, he is...
