I loved Jennifer Sizemore's article on the latest e-letter "50 ways to use your scraps" but one thing she didn't mention was Serendipity Squares. Doesn't anyone make these anymore? They are so much fun to create, they use up a lot of your scraps, and produce some of the most beautiful embellishments for your pages! You can cut them into whatever size you want - 1", 2" or bigger squares, or even different shapes or strips for borders. Every one is different! I make them in colour "themes" and file them in recycled envelopes with the colour marked on the outside, so they're easy to find when matching colours on a layout.

I've never heard of them ... or seen them that I know of. Can you post a pic?

I did a couple LOs using Serendipity squares way back when! Definitely worth trying them again...

Hi! Well, I had never posted any of my layouts before, but there's a first for everything ... so, I posted a couple pages where I used the Serendipity Squares I made. Now I know it's so easy to post, I may just find the time to do some more! I hope you try them - you will love them.

Thanks for finding and posting this link ... I was trying to figure out an easy way to explain how to make them ... now I don't have to ...

Thank you for posting this serendipity squares idea and your LOs using them! I had never heard of them before but what a great way to use scraps! The wheels in my brain are spinning. Keep posting your LOs and helping to inspire others. TFS
