Sorta like that, but different.... The mouse-over works for me over there, when I turn it on. It annoys me, so I usually have it off. Nothing's ever perfect right off, but everything can always be fixed if it's off.

It might be a Mac thing as it never works for me consistently over there. Much better here. Will the forum titles change? Let's be honest Megan... we love what you guys do for us. We really, really do. But if we wanted this place to be like SB.com then we'd go there. We've all just got used to the way this place looks and works. We like having our own identity... it makes us feel a little less like the red-headed step child. So when you bring up change, it skeers us just a bit because we fear that you will take something that means so much to us. We've watched enough Hollywood movies to know what corporate take overs mean and deep inside we fear that is what is slowly happening. If you could just come out and tell us... yes, there will be some similarties to SB such as ______ and these things will stay ______ and these things will be brand new _______, we'd probably be a lot less likely to feel like you just kidnapped our puppy. I'm not afraid of change... I'm a military spouse... I thrive on change... I trust you will take care of us and I do truly appreciate all you guys do for us. I just wanted you to know what that "do not panic" button means to some of us.

YEAH! - What she said. lol We like the way our board works - that a good reason why I don't go skulking off to the other boards, they just don't feel right, kwim. I don't like the boards at2peas, or sb.com (sorry) or even ebbcreations (sorry E) - they are harder to navigate, mouseovers messup, - the ease-of-use just isn't there. That said - it doesn't mean I will dig in my heels, kicking and screaming - and I REALLY appreciate it that you are giving us heads up instead of springing it on us one morning. I can adapt to change - I like to redecorate my home - but I don't want to move to a new house

As far as I know, the forum titles aren't changing. If they did for some reason, THAT is a very easy fix to make if y'all aren't happy. Can I promise it won't be similar? Nope; from my point of view, what I've seen of the development, *I* don't think it's the same - just kinda. Y'all might have a different point of view. Can I promise that there are NO plans to "assimilate" you guys, and trash this place? Yes. Different sites, different board rules - and don't think THAT doesn't keep ME on MY toes. :eek: I will ask, tho, that you give it a chance....the "flip" to the current setup at SB.com was MUCH more drastic than the flip will be here. Big time. We learned a lot from that experience, and I learned there is NOT enough diet Coke to keep me awake and coherent for 31 hours straight. (Note the word coherent, in particular) :rofl: Folks were not happy at first....slowly but surely, stuff got fixed. And 6 months later, the topic came up...what did you like better on the "old" site. Y'know...most folks couldn't REMEMBER. Give it a fair shake. Have a bit of patience, and know I'm willing to help sort it out, or find someone who can. That's all.

hmmm - I don't have that. and when I read the threads, there is just a thin(about 1/2") strip or grey running down the side. Now on the left side is a big strip of white when you scroll on down the thread.

That might depend on the resolution you're running at....I have almost 1/3 of the screen that's grey over there, but I'm at 1280x1024....

As I stated before, LOTD will be Featured Layouts, and change by votes from YOU guys. Automagically by the system. Participation in the contests, even before we changed them, was dismal, to be perfectly honest. A complaint was received about someone winning more than once....well, gee. When that person is the only one that ENTERS.... They're gonna be the winner. Once the technical bits are done, there will be other contest opportunities and such here. I can't get really specific, I don't have specifics. But, when I do, they'll be here. Websites, especially forums, are moving venues..if they don't move, change, evolve, they die. I've been on a few that croaked...no, they didn't croak 'cause I was there. Me, I'd rather move forward than sit around worrying 'cause change happens. Change is inevitable...'cept in vending machines. :lol:
