Do you know where I could find a calendar kit?

I was thinking about making/scrapbooking a calendar as a Christmas gift this year.

I haven't seen any calendar kits.

Have you thought about using CD cases to make your calendars. You can download a free calendar template and cut it out and decorate the page. All the pages can be stored in the CD case and it is small and light enough if you have to post gifts. I've made them in the past and they have been easy to do.

I've never seen the CD case calendars. Thanks for sharing! Definitely gave me some ideas.

I haven't seen any kits either, but do you have a Zutter or other binder?

If you do, you can make a desk calendar. I've made those before out of old calendar bases, but you could make your own easily.

Archivers always has calendar kits. They usually have their own line of them, and have the BG calendar kit. Haven't looked for them yet, but I'm sure you can get them. You can probably order them online...

Thanks for the suggestions. Our nearest Archivers is about an hour drive, so I will look online.

After seeing that Pinecone Press had mini calendars for 2013 for printing, I got curious and went to youtube and found some videos using tiny calendars. Was I surprised!!! Beautiful calendars! I'll see if I can post one.

Then I got to thinking....

Maybe I could make mini calendars from TP rolls or coffee sleeves!! Since the calendars don't leave any room for pics, you could use the tags and pockets to put a favorite pic of the month, or journaling the highlights of each month.

Just some thoughts here....

Thanks for the ideas. I definitely want to add pictures. It's for my dd's, so I want to have a picture of all three of them together for each month.

I thought of making them a calendar because I want to buy birthstone earrings for them. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to attach the earrings. Maybe a little envelope for them to open each month? I'm still thinking about it.

That is pretty. I like the idea of using a ring.

Maybe you could hang the earrings on a ring holding the calendar together??

That's a good idea too. Maybe poke them through a ribbon.

I cut up some cereal boxes to use. I just need a few more boxes. My next step will be going through my CDs of photos and picking out the perfect 12 and getting them printed off. I could probably start choosing papers too.
