Barb was finally stabilized enough to be transferred to a teaching hospital in Chicago to get better treatment. They diagnosed her after only two days there with small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, a very aggressive form of endocrine cancer. She has started a more individualized type of chemotherapy that is designed to attack this type of cancer. Her husband has not left her side since the ordeal started and she has help pour in as soon as people heard. I'm still praying hard for her, it doesn't look good but miracles happen all the time.
