we were supposed to be hosting dh's brother's family and his mom. but as time got closer, SIL and her kids started dragging their feet. They are BIL's step kids, so most of the time he has no say in what they do. so the mom won't make them, and then she decided she didn't really wanna come either (she' from Argentina and doesn't really like thanksgiving foods). so anyway, then it was just going to be dinner with MIL and BIL - so I said screw that, I am going to my mom's house. and BIL and MIL are coming for a "second thanksgiving" on saturday instead.

yep, and dh wonders why we always do stuff with my family and not his - we won't even start on how delinquent the other side of his family is.... he has 5 other brothers that we never see - but I am ok with that for many reasons...and his stepmom - she's a handful, but we put up with her so he can see his dad.

Sorry to hear that.
Our plans of going and having it with my family are now changing, because my little guy is on his 3rd day of the stomach flu. I just don't want to expose my extended family to this nasty flu.
