I often have such a hard time buying thoughtful gifts for people no matter how I try. I am doing well this week, though!! For one of the teachers I work with I bought The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. She used it as a creative writing prompt for freshman english and it was so much fun. She borrowed it from the library so I decided it would be a good Christmas present. Then I bought a companion book to go with it filled with short stories inspired by the photos from famous authors. I am so excited!!
Then this week I gave my best friend from work who is moving an ornament for her tree that has painted depictions of buildings from the main street of our town and the name of the town on it. I also bought her a friend ship Alex and Ani bracelet. I figured that every time she put it on, she would think of me. She loved it!!
I am stumped at what to get the case manager of the student I work one on one with. She is the BEST. She is jewish but I am buying her a gift anyway. I thought maybe I would buy 8 small gifts and have something at her desk each day of Hanukkah. What to buy is the problem...
Wonderful gifts! I like the idea of 8 little gifts for your Jewish friend. Even 8 different homemade goodies would be nice. I'm not sure how much you want to spend but 8- $5 gc's would be nice too. You could put them in homemade holders. We all know you're crafty with paper.
